Area students attend SADD convention

Pleasant Valley High School Students Against Destructive Decisions attended the Alabama State SADD Convention in Birmingham March 3-4. There were 10 students from Pleasant Valley High School that attended the convention with more than 700 other students from across the state, including clubs from Saks and Ohatchee. The students attended five workshops on subjects ranging from consequences of drug and alcohol use, legal actions against drunk drivers, safety laws and internet safety. The students were trained in the "I-Safe" computer program geared toward awareness of internet bullying and stalking. The club adviser is Krista Harris.
