Your Talladega friends are hoping to see you today at the Pilgrimage. It’s a real good tour, so try to fit it into your plans! Joanna and Jack Hagan enjoyed having daughter Gwen (Mrs. Steve) McNeal visit last week. She was here from Baton Rouge, La. Tim and Tracey Haas and son, Tyler was here last week from McDonough, Ga., to visit Tracey’s mom, Myrt Pffankuche and sister, Michelle. While they were here, the family celebrated Tacey and Tim’s tenth wedding anniversary and Tyler’s ninth birthday. One day Tyler and “grandmother” Myrt spent the day in Anniston at the museum. The Club in Birmingham was the destination of this group. They attended the annual Jefferson County Humane Society’s luncheon and fashion show, and included were Sylvia Cornett, Judy Ellison, Ginny West, Vicki Smith, Jan Norton, Sylvia Martin, Judith Sawyer, Charlotte George and Judi Denard, Judi and Carlton are just home from a great spring getaway. After Carlton’s long illness, they decided to join friends from Destin, Fla., for a 10-day trip to Key West. They visited friends there, enjoyed boating and especially enjoyed indulging in delicious seafood. The Red Bird Dahlins’ Chapter of the Red Hat Society enjoyed their monthly luncheon last Thursday at the Bright Star Restaurant in Bessemer. Places were set for Adonis Fisher, (Queen Mother). Irene Sexton, Myrt Pfannkuche, Betty Daugherty, Flossie Runyan, Adrienne Bourland, Ponda Bowman, Helen Braswell, Betty Buchannan, Myrna Ford, Polly Harrison, Margaret Kirkpatrick, Barbara Noble, Helen Price, Nola Traywick, and Polly Warren. Seventeen members of the Red Rose Chapter of the Red Hat Society enjoyed their monthly luncheon at Trussville Mall Restaurant, followed by an afternoon of shopping in the mall. Ann Day is Queen Mother of that chapter. Thinking of you, Tom Martin, a patient at UAB recovering from surgery. and in Lincoln…. Today is “Tablescapes” at Lincoln United Methodist Church. All of the tickets are sold and eighty guests will enjoy the beautiful tables, along with a luncheon. The tables were decorated by members of the Ladies Club of Lincoln United Methodist and Lincoln Garden Club, who co-sponsor the event. Guest speaker will be Joan Napp. Johnsi and Don Alberti are looking forward to a spring visit from their son Don Jr., and his son Dallas. They’re driving down from New York, and will arrive Sunday, April 20. Barbara Brown was in Jacksonville, Fla., for several days to visit her sister, Dolores Dotson and her family. She arrived back home just in time to repack and drive to Eufaula. She spent several days at Lake Eufaula with her siblings and their spouses enjoying a family reunion. Plans continue to be made for this year’s 5-K Run, which will take place in August. The event was discussed at Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Lincoln Historical and Preservation Committee.
