Pets dressed as pumpkins and Santa, as princesses and pirates will be the order of the day Sunday, Oct. 19 in Pell City’s Lakeside Park.
It’s the annual event held for people and pets to enjoy hosted by the Animal Shelter of Pell City and this year’s Paws in the Park promises to be a day pet lovers won’t want to miss out on.
Things get started at 10 a.m. with vendors and entertainment begins at noon,
Pell City’s Steve Schafer leads the programs from the entertainment area inside the large pavilion with performances from Miss Kitty’s dance groups, jazz from One Eyed Mary, the school choirs from Coosa Valley School and Duran North and South, directed by Ginger McCurry.
Country rock music will be performed by Chris Scott and the Lovin’ 44s.
Food and treats of all kinds will be available and pet lovers may wish to bring along folding chairs to spend the day.
“That’s the real idea of Paws in the Park,” said Pat Tucker, vice president for the ASPC. “It’s something for the family to enjoy and for friends to enjoy together throughout the afternoon. And don’t forget to bring the pets.”
