08-07-2008

LANETT — A renewed effort is under way to solve a nearly month-old murder case in Chambers County. 60-year-old Larry A. Hudson was gunned down July 14th at his machine shop on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Lanett.

Lanett Police Chief Tommy Morris announced Tuesday that an $80,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Hudson's death.

Police believe the victim was slain between 12:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

The reward includes $5,000 that was offered by Governor Riley's office on Friday.
