Boehner promises Love committee positions
MONTGOMERY — House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio has promised to assign state Rep. Jay Love to the House Agriculture and Armed Services committees if Love is elected to Congress.
A Republican, Love faces the Democratic Party nominee, Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright, in the Nov. 4 general election for the 2nd District seat in Congress. Love has said he wants to serve on the committees because the district is home to two military bases and has strong ties to farming.
