Mr. Hazelwood died Friday, July 11, 2008 at Citizens BMC. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a brick mason by trade and was employed by Precision Masonry. He is preceded in death by his father, Sterling John Hazelwood Jr.; and his mother, Joan Medley Hazelwood Thrasher. He is survived by his wife, Deanie Hazelwood; step-father, Roger Thrasher of Talladega; four sisters, Susan Hazel of Munford, Tammy Lee of Leeds, Pam Hazelwood of Georgia and Natasha Hazelwood of Georgia; four brothers, Steven Hazelwood of Florida, Johnny Hazelwood of Oxford, Shane Hazelwood of Talladega and Jonathan Hazelwood of Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
