Ms. Amason died Aug. 18, 2008 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ott and Nora Campbell. She was a loving and devoted mother and granny. Garrett of Talladega; two daughters, Mellissa Taylor and Sharon Harris both of Sycamore; five sons, Fred Cook, Mark Cook, Donnie Cook and Johnnie Cook all of Sycamore, and Timothy Cook of Clarksville, Tenn.; sister, Christine Garrett of Alpine; four brothers, Gene Cook of Sycamore, Jimmy Cook of Talladega, Cliffton Cook of Papertown and Joe Stamps of Huntsville; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
