LINDA CAMPBELL AMASON

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Linda Campbell Amason, 58, will be Thursday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at Marble City Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Ms. Amason died Aug. 18, 2008 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ott and Nora Campbell. She was a loving and devoted mother and granny. Survivors are her sons, Blake D. Amason of Wilmington, NC and Jeremy L. Amason of Auburn; brother, Arthur L. Campbell III of Prattville; and grandson, Arthur Robert Amason. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 21, from 9:30-11 a.m. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com. Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

SHIRLEY MAE COOK GARRETT

SYLACAUGA — Funeral services for Shirley Mae Cook Garrett, 70, will be at on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Mountain Home Baptist Church in Sycamore. Burial will be in the Corinth Church Cemetery. the Rev. Stanley Threatt officiating. Mrs. Garrett passed on Aug. 16, 2008 at her residence. She is survived by husband, Willie C. Garrett of Talladega; two daughters, Mellissa Taylor and Sharon Harris both of Sycamore; five sons, Fred Cook, Mark Cook, Donnie Cook and Johnnie Cook all of Sycamore, and Timothy Cook of Clarksville, Tenn.; sister, Christine Garrett of Alpine; four brothers, Gene Cook of Sycamore, Jimmy Cook of Talladega, Cliffton Cook of Papertown and Joe Stamps of Huntsville; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Cook, Buford Cook, Jerome Cook, Lamar Harris, Dennis Garrett and Mark Whetstone. Flower bearers will be friends of the family. Visitation will be at on Wednesday from 12-8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home. Community Funeral Home will direct the services.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted fiancÈ, Audrey Clowers; two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel (Edekawa) Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Harrita) Benton; grandsons, Desmond Phillips and Caden Benton; extended family, daughters, Patrice Thomas and Monica Wright; grandchildren, Stephan Thomas, Audreyanna Thomas, Jordan Thomas; Chanda Clowers, and Ty-yanna Clowers; niece, LaSonja Sistrunk; sisters, Margaret Garrett, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel (Joyce) Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony (Ja'nice) Howard; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Connie) Phillips, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. LeeWayne (Debbie) Phillips, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. RIVERSIDE — Memorial service for Barbara Edinger Whitmore, 62, will be Saturday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. at Riverside Worship Center with Pastor Tim Becher officiating. Ms. Whitmore died Aug. 15, 2008. Survivors are a mother, Anna Edinger; two sons, Robert W. Weber II and Edwin A. Weber; sister, Annette Meehan; and three grandchildren, Robert W. Weber III, Grace A. Weber and William Stone Weber. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
