SUTTON WILLIS DEANTALLADEGA — Sutton Willis Dean, 73, passed away at his home on October 9, 2008. He was a member of the Talladega Church of Christ.
Mr. Dean graduated from Talladega High School in 1953, served four years in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. Degree in 1961. He was employed by the International Business Machines Corporation and was located in Birmingham, Ala., Jackson, Miss., Huntsville, Ala., and Boca Raton, Fla. During his 35 years with the International Business Machines Corporation, he held various managerial positions and retired as a Senior Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Frank Dean; his mother, Dollie Odessa Todd Dean; his sister, Norma Jean Dean Ward and his daughter Lisa Paulette Dean.
He is survived by his wife, Eve Leone Johns Dean of Talladega, Ala.; his son, Eric Sutton Dean of Honolulu, Hawaii; his grandson, Tristan Eric Dean of Honolulu, Hawaii; and his brother, Gary Hilton Dean of Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 11 from 4-5:30 p.m. at Usrey. Funeral service will be today, Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at Usrey Chapel with Mr. Hilton Dean officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers are the elders and deacons of the Talladega Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Ward, John Locklind, Hubart Hubbard, Lonnie Stone, William Gaither, Larry Horn and S. Bonds.
Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
MATTHEW WADE ROUSE
MUNFORD — Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Wade Rouse, age 37 of Munford will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Jeff Rutledge and Chief Ricky Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford.
Mr. Rouse died Friday in Munford.
Mr. Rouse is survived by his wife, Christy Rouse of Munford; two children, Morgan Rae Rouse and Eric Wade Rouse both of Munford; father, Larry W. Rouse (Laura) of Munford and mother, Kay Crider (Jimmy) of Oxford; two sisters, Kristy Hughes (Lloyd) of Wellborn and Brittany Crider of Oxford.
Mr. Rouse was a native of Anniston and has lived here for most of his life. He was a member of Grace Community Church, worked at ABS Business Systems for over six years and has worked at EG&G for the past year. Mr. Rouse was the assistant fire chief in Munford and served as a volunteer firefighter. He was very active in his community where he was vice president of the Volunteer Fire Fighter Association and Chairman for Munford’s Toys for Kids Program. He also worked with the Fire & Rescue at the Talladega Superspeedway and the Talladega Airport.
Pallbearers will be fellow firemen from the Munford Fire Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of EG&G, a division of Homeland Security.

SYLACAUGA — Graveside funeral service for Paula Lynn Brown, 57, of Sylacauga will be held Monday, Oct. 13 at noon at Evergreen Cemetery.
Ms. Brown died at Baptist Medical Center Princeton on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008.
Ms. Brown is survived by her sister, Debra Horton of Woodstock, Ga.; nephew Matt Horton of Denver, Colo.; nephew Chad Horton of Destin, Fla.; and numerous aunts and cousins. The family may be contacted at www.radneysmith.com.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for O. Corean Klotz, 87, of Sylacauga will take place on Monday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Bill Dean officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Mausoleum.
Ms. Klotz died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Klotz of Sylacauga; three sons, Kirk Klotz of Eastaboga, Rodney Roudebush of Texas and Larry Roudebush of Foley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 13 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

TALLADEGA — Jimmy D. Butler, “J.D.,” 72, of Talladega, Ala. passed away on October 11, 2008. He is originally from Birmingham, Ala. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He is the owner of Clear Creek Harbor Marina on Logan Martin Lake. He is a member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claudie and Hazel Butler. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Butler; sons David Butler of Moody, Ala. and Leslie Butler (Maria) of Atlanta, Ga.; Lisa Butler of Pinson, Ala., Donna Cooper (Jeremy) of Talladega, Ala. and Shelly Fomby (Brian) of Pell City, Ala.; sister, Veda Justice (Richard) of Pinson, Ala.; brother, Roger Butler (Dot) of Pinson, Ala.; grandchildren, Sarah, Mariah, David, Bradi, Raleigh, Jordan Rae, Kodi, Christian and Savannah; several nieces and nephews; host of other family and friends.
