THOMARUS KIJUAN HOLTTALLADEGA – Funeral service for Thomarus Kijuan Holt, 17, of Talladega will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. at Harwell Auditorium in Talladega with the Rev. Jerome Lawson and Pastor Samuel Holt officiating. Burial will be in Moore-Lawson Cemetery in Alpine.
Mr. Holt died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at St. Vincent’s Hospital South.
He was a sophomore at Talladega High School, a member of Tree Life Baptist Church of Gary, Ind., and played basketball with the Talladega City Recreation Center.
He is survived by his mother Tawanda S. Holt of Talladega; father Thomas Calhoun of Alpine; two brothers, Thomas D. Meadows and Camary Wilderson, both of Talladega; sister Veneshia Holt of Talladega; step-mother Amelia Johnson of Gadsden; grandmothers Jewel Holt and Vinne Calhoun, both of Talladega; godparents Robert Holt and Rosa Maxwell, both of Talladega; two nieces Semajionna Wallace and Semajanae, both of Talladega; eight aunts and eight uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandfather David Holt Sr., grandfather Samuel Calhoun, and five uncles.
Thomarus will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary will conduct the service.

LINCOLN – Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Christopher “Chris” Jones, age 51, of Lincoln, Alabama, will be Monday at 12 noon at Forest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Thomas passed away Nov. 7, 2008 at his home in Lincoln.
Survivors are two brothers, Mike and Mark Jones, both of Lincoln, AL.
Thomas had been a resident of Talladega for many years. He was a former student at the Opportunity Center School in Birmingham and former client of the Burton Development Center in Talladega.
The family will receive friends at Talladega Funeral Home Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

SYLACAUGA – Memorial services for Leonard A. Golson, 51, will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at the Rising Star Baptist Church in Sylacauga. Rev. Manuel Smith IV will be officiating.
Mr. Golson passed on November 6 at Citizens Medical Center in Talladega.
He is survived by his mother, Mae Breedlove Golson of San Francisco, CA; son Leonard Golson Jr. of San Francisco, CA; grandfather Brooks Breedlove of San Francisco, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. – Funeral service for Janice Masters Robertson, 70, of Panama City Beach, Fla. will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Chapel in Pell City with Bro. Bill Ayres officiating. Burial will be in Cook Springs Cemetery in Pell City.
Mrs. Robertson died Nov. 5, 2008.
She is survived by her son Jimmy Dewayne Robertson of Moody; two daughters, Glenda R. Hughes of Alpine and Brenda Robertson of Panama City Beach, Fla.; brother Joel Masters; sister Earlene Howard; grandchildren Charles K. Denton Jr., Jason Dewayne Robertson and Johnny Hughes; and great-grandchildren Sarah Denton and Aaron Denton.
She was preceded in death by husband Jimmy Sam Robertson.
The family will receive friends Sunday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
