The construction of a new hospital isn’t the only good news for Sylacauga’s Coosa Valley Medical Center and the community. The hospital just earned national recognition for excellence in its approach to critical care of its patients.
The hospital captured the honor because of its ability to respond to critical and emergency situations. The hospital developed a comprehensive strategy, creating rapid response teams hospital-wide to deal with situations as they occur.
Other procedures have been put into practice that help the hospital meet the needs of its patients when time is crucial.
Glenn Sisk, president and chief executive officer of CVMC, called it a “big award for a small hospital.”
We call it achieving success in ways to best serve the community it calls home.
