Mixon and Hayden for Criminal Appeals, Place 2

05-27-2008

In the race for the Republican nomination for Place 2 on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, the best choice is Chris Mixon. His experience in working for Supreme Court judges as well as his work in private practice should help him in fulfilling the duties of an appellate court judge.

His extensive knowledge of the law and how it should apply in appellate cases are his strong points, and we think he is best suited for the Republican nomination for Place 2.

For the Democrats, we give Jon Hayden the nod for Place 2 on the Court of Criminal Appeals.

He has served as a staff attorney on that court, and he has been a state prosecutor handling appeals by death row inmates.

His criminal law experience numbering more than 17 years all add up to making him the number one choice on the Democratic side for Place 2 on the Court of Criminal Appeals.
