Sylacauga’s B.B. Comer Memorial Library is one of the centerpieces in community life in Sylacauga. Going way beyond the traditional job as a repository for books, the library also hosts a number of special programs for children and adults and helps promote culture and education in the city.
Thanks to the Sylacauga Rotary Club, the library will once again have some extra funding available to use this year. The club has been donating to the library for 72 years – ever since it was founded in the back room of a bank by a local Rotarian.
To date, the club has donated in excess of $25,000 to the library.
We commend the Sylacauga Rotary Club and its members for continually supporting a cause that is so important to their city.
