Of special note: Riverside updates park

08-21-2008

The town of Riverside hasn’t improved its park for years, but city officials and the Parks and Recreation Board reasoned that it was time to do something about that.

The result of that reasoning is taking shape at Coleman Park, where new playground equipment is expected to be installed this week. A walking track and other improvements are also a part of the facelift.

The finished product will be a place where Riverside citizens — young and old alike — can enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. And it will be a place in which the city can take pride.

We commend all involved in bringing this project to fruition. It will serve as an enhancement to Riverside’s quality of life, which is worthy of recognition.
