For years, residents in the area have known what a resource we have in the natural beauty of Logan Martin Lake and the Coosa River.Just a few short months ago, everyone learned that when the state started promoting the 631-mile Alabama Scenic River Trail.
The city of Childersburg is looking at capitalizing on our state’s latest natural tourist attraction by creating a campground for use by outdoor enthusiasts traveling on the river.
The property the city has in mind is an ideal spot for the campground and the project would cost little if nothing to get started.
We applaud Childersburg for responding so quickly to this opportunity that is definitely a win-win situation for the entire community.
