This morning throughout Talladega and St. Clair counties, we wake up with new leadership those who have been chosen to guide their cities over the next four years.Mayoral, council and school board races have been decided, identifying just who will lead these cities into the next decade.
It is a critical juncture all cities find themselves in with economic challenges defining the issues they will face. We congratulate all who have won their races and will now begin the arduous task of follow through as an elected official.
Where their cities head from here depends on them and the decisions they make. We trust they will take that responsibility seriously and will choose right over politics to make the choices that will serve the entire community, not just parts of it.
Theirs is an awesome responsibility, and we wish them wisdom as they make the tough decisions that surely lie ahead.
