Of special note: Another youth makes us proud

Two years ago, Anna Vines’ family tree farm was recognized with the Helene Mosley Memorial TREASURE Forest Award, and Anna played no small part in receiving that honor. The young lady from Sylacauga has now received another honor all her own, when she was recognized as the state Youth Conservationist of the Year. It’s the latest in a long list of accolades for Vines, who has been active in 4-H and has competed in several academic subjects at the state and national levels, bringing home a number of prestigious awards, including a national championship title. We are proud of what Vines has accomplished and the dedication she has shown in earning this latest honor.
