He’s the author of three books, has traveled to more than 50 countries to speak, and now Dr. W. Jim Britt will lead revival services for Hardin’s Chapel Church the week of Oct. 25 through Nov. 1.

The revival runs from Sunday to Sunday and services will begin each night at 6:30.

For those who wish to take part, there will be a “one dish” meal served in the church gymnasium prior to the services at 5:30 p.m.

The Rev. Doug Ford, who has pastored at Hardin’s Chapel for 50 years, said Britt has visited his church once before.

“He has studied Revelations for many years and has written a book about it as well,” Ford said. “That’s what he spoke about the first time he came.”

Britt has studied and spoken on the book of Revelations for more than 30 years.

Ford said he’s looking forward to Britt’s return and the opportunity it presents.

“We have been very blessed to have some very renowned speakers and musicians,” Ford said.

Britt is founder and president for W. Jim Britt Ministries Inc., an international organization with a worldwide ministry.

Britt is also chancellor for International Bible Institute and is adjunct professor of pastoral studies at Trinity Seminary.

He is a “full member” of the Evangelical Theological Society, a professional society of Biblical scholars who are involved in evangelical scholarship worldwide.

Britt is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University, the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and holds doctorates from Luther Rice Seminary and Trinity Seminary/Canterbury Christ Church University in Canterbury, England. He is a member of the Omicron Psi Honor Society.

In addition to his book on Revelations, Britt is the author of “Gleanings,” which presents 16 practical messages with hope and

encouragement intended for the reader.

His book “Daniel, the Man and His Message” holds commentary arranged verse by verse on the book of Daniel, following the commentary style Britt used for “Revelation.” Britt spent three years researching and writing the book.

W. Jim Britt Ministries was formed in 1990 and now functions with four divisions.

The Global Evangelism division mission includes holding evangelical crusades in foreign countries, taking church groups overseas for evangelistic efforts, assisting pastors and evangelists throughout the world and providing materials and workers to construct church buildings.

The ministries The Word for the World focus includes Britt’s preaching, teaching and writing ministry in the United States.

The Helping Hands arm of the ministry works to meet physical needs of Christians at home and in other countries. It includes providing large print Bibles for the elderly in the United States, providing Bibles for third world Christians in their own languages, providing food and medical supplies for Christians in third world countries and providing materials needed by churches in third world countries.

The ministry’s Timothy Training division works to provide theological training for men and women around the world who have been called to the ministry. This is done mainly through the ministry’s International Bible Institute.

Britt and his wife, Judi, live in the mountains of Northeast Georgia and have been married for 42 years. They are the parents of three children and have eight grandchildren.
