PELL CITY — Goodgame Company is expanding its downtown operations.

Jason Goodgame, vice president for Goodgame Company, said work has begun to expand the fabrication area at the company’s main office because demands for fabrication services have increased.

“It’s been good the last couple of years, and we’re expanding to meet the demand,” Goodgame said.

The construction work should be completed within the coming months.

“Fabrication is the oldest part of our business,” he said. “We’ve added some new equipment and hired a few new employees.”

The company is more than 55 years old.

The addition to the Goodgame Company building is about 20,000 square feet.

“We’ll probably be done in about 60 days,” Goodgame said.

He said the fabrication business for Goodgame Company is a thriving part of the construction company’s business. The company makes a variety of steel products for customers.

“We still have a lot of walk-in business from the local community,” he said.

Goodgame Company is a longtime family company, which focuses on the construction of commercial and industrial type metal buildings.
