The body was found lying in the roadway near Kentuck Mountain Road and MacIntosh Road by a power company employee Friday morning.
“It didn’t appear that he had been there that long,” said Chief Deputy Jimmy Kilgore. “It probably occurred somewhere between midnight and the early morning hours this morning.”
The body has been identified; however, officials are not releasing the victim’s name until family has been notified.
“They’re following up on some leads right now,” Kilgore said. “There’s nothing else I can really say at this point, hopefully in the morning.”
