The Diversity Christian Center was founded in the early 1990s to help children and teens in the area with everything from education to tutoring to life management.

That’s a worthy cause and one that is always in high demand in our area. While the center does whatever it can to meet those demands, they always can use more support.

Center operators Gwen Green and the Rev. Sherman Green got a heavy dose of that support this week when Barbara Embry presented them with a check on behalf of the National Christian Foundation for $5,000.

That’s no small amount of money and will go a long way to helping children in the area lead better, more productive lives.
