It’s never too early to plan. And the North Talladega County Relay for Life campaign has just been launched en route to a May 14 relay date.

The group is involved in recruiting sponsors, teams and schools, and they are planning fundraisers to help reach its goals.

Cancer is a disease that touches everyone -- whether it is someone you know, a family member, a friend or even you. And it is worthy causes like Relay for Life that raise the funds for research for a cure.

More and more, people have become cancer survivors instead of cancer victims because of fundraisers like Relay for Life.

And we commend the North Talladega version of this event, encouraging support over the coming months to raise awareness and raise funds for such a noble effort.
