When it comes to choir performances, Talladega College is legendary around these parts.

But it has taken its talents to the next level and emerged the top performing collegiate choir in the region during the Collegiate Choral Festival in Birmingham.

In its first competition, Talladega College earned first place honors from the American Choral Directors Association, facing much larger schools in the state, like Montevallo, Samford and Alabama.

The 68-member choir is to be commended. Their winning ways bring honor to the choir, the school and to the community.
