City councils in Pell City, Springville and Odenville along with the St. Clair County Commission have officially made their funding commitments to the Coosa Valley Water Supply District, and water should be flowing in two years.

The estimated $32 million project is a joint effort of those entities to satisfy water needs in the growing region well into the future.

It has been a visionary project from the beginning, and the latest hurdles made are sign that it is that much closer to fruition.

We salute the efforts of all officials involved in this project. It is a testament to their dedication to doing the right thing by the citizens they serve.
