The Mobile Fire Rescue Department and Mobile Police Department were kept busy answering to emergency calls all throughout the day Christmas Day particularly during and after the E-F 2 Tornado made landfall in the Mobile County and surrounding areas.
The Mobile Infirmary Hospital, Murphy High School, Trinity Episcopal Church, and Little Flower Catholic School were extremely damaged from the E F-2 Tornado that shredded through the Mobile County areas.
Tornado movement affected the Wilmer area, Tillman’s Corner area, Brookley Aeroplex area, mid-town Loop area, Spring Hill Avenue and Dauphin Street areas in Mobile County.
The Weather Channel reports the EF-2 tornado that ragged through the Mobile County area on Christmas Day was just one of 40 Tornados that were reported seen across the Gulf Coast area.
This is the second time a Tornado has made landfall in Mobile Alabama during the Christmas holidays. The first Tornado made landfall in Mobile Alabama on December 20, 2012 between 5-6AM Thursday morning before heading in a northerly direction en route for Bay Minette Alabama.
