The Childersburg 11-year-old All-Stars finished pool play with a 5-4 win over Satsuma on Monday. Tyler Jackson started on the hill, giving up one hit, one run and three walks while striking out four in two innings of work. Ryan Garrett pitched four and two-thirds innings, striking out 10, walking one and giving up six hits and three runs. Zack Lightsey came in with runners on first and second and recorded the final out of the game to give Childersburg the one-run victory.
At the plate, Jackson was 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Garrett went 2-3 with a triple and an RBI. D.J. Averiette had a double and scored a run. Darious Hale had a hit in the game while Lightsey had an RBI.
Childersburg remained undefeated in pool play and was seeded first for the bracket play, which began Tuesday.
