Ashville scored 26 first quarter points and went on to beat Oneonta 63-52. The Lady Bulldogs were up 26-11 after one quarter and 33-23 at halftime.
Ashville edged Oneonta 30-29 in the second half to win the game 63-52.
Ariel Carpenter had the hot hand for Ashville as she pumped in 18 points. Kayla Ambrosius netted 11 points while Holley Brown totaled eight points. Feleshia Williams and Destiny Lane scored seven points each while Immori Cater chipped in six points. Mara Mattison and Brandi Looney had three points each.
Ashville 87, Pell City 43
Eleven Lady Bulldogs scored as Ashville easily defeated Pell City 87-43.
Ashville led 23-11 after the first quarter and opened the second period on a 9-0 run to make it 32-11 with 6:35 remaining in the opening half. The halftime score was 52-21.
By the end of the third quarter, Ashville’s lead was an amazing 78-35. The final score was 87-43.
Lane pumped in 22 points and dished out eight assists in only three quarters of play. Williams pumped in 14 points while Ambrosius netted 10 points. Carpenter had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals while Looney and Brown scored six points each. Angelica Gillispie scored five points while Aurora Leal chipped in four points. Cater and Kim Fuller totaled three points each.
