The Lady Tigers got off to a slow start scoring only two first quarter points and went on to lose to the Lady Huskies 48-27. The score was 10-2 after the opening stanza and 24-8 at halftime.
Hewitt-Trussville opened up a 37-17 lead after three quarters of play and went on to win 48-27.
Alisha Smith led the Lady Tigers with 11 points. Jordyn Buckner scored seven points while Nicole Beasley netted five points. Brittany Jones and Shelby Woods had two points each.
Springville 32, Moody 19
Springville got back in the win column as they beat the Lady Blue Devils 32-19. The two teams were tied 7-7 after the first quarter. By halftime, the Lady Tigers were up by three, 16-13.
The third quarter was a difference maker as Springville outscored Moody 11-1 to open up a 27-14 lead. The final score was 32-19.
Smith and Woods both scored nine points and both grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Tigers. Kristen Riker netted six points while Erica Gholson chipped in five points. Buckner totaled three points while Katelyn Tribble had two points.
Leading the Lady Blue Devils was Ashley Wilkerson with seven points. Sha Vandergrift added five points while Tiffany Evans scored three points. Jessica Spitzer and Cameron Dizaar had two points each.
Both teams are now 5-7 on the season.
