Pell City schools planned to delay the start of school this morning by two hours.

Assistant Schools Superintendent Michael Barber said because of possible road hazards due to the weather, school will open later today.

Also, the Pell City Council meeting was cancelled Tuesday night because of the possible refreezing of precipitation on roads.

There is a regularly scheduled council work session next Thursday and the next regularly scheduled council meeting is set for Monday, Jan. 24.
