According to St. Clair County coroner Dennis Russell, three people were transported from the scene of the accident, which occurred Thursday afternoon near Family Lane. All three were transported to a Birmingham hospital, and two of them were pronounced dead. None of the names of those involved were available at press time.
The accident remained under investigation as of press time.
