A tip of the hat to Jeremy Dunn who fulfilled his dream hiking the Appalachian Trail — all 2,181 miles of it — from north Georgia to Maine.

The trail is a monument to the spirit of the outdoors for those who enjoy hiking and camping. While few can afford the time it takes to complete the entire trail, estimates are as high as three million people each year who come to hike sections of the trail.

Dunn planned his hike as something he wanted to do between his graduation from the University of Montevallo last spring, and entering the work-a-day world. Planning, dedication, family support and a great pair of shoes made for the hike of a lifetime.

Congratulations on making a dream come true!
