According to Interim Chief Jason Busby, the break-in occurred sometime around 4 a.m., when the front glass of the restaurant was shattered. The only item stolen was the cash register, which was valued at $200. Busby said there did not appear to have been any cash inside it.
Although there were no witnesses or suspects Thursday afternoon, Busby said investigators had recovered video of the break-in and were in the process of reviewing it.
