Mayor, Doug Murphree, of Sylacauga joined some members of the Marble Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at B.B. Comer Library Monday to present the proclamation, which officially declares Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week. The purpose of the observance week is to promote study and education about the United States Constitution, which was originally adopted by the American Congress of Confederation on Sept. 17, 1787. The display of the United State Constitution and information regarding the amendments to the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, will be at the B.B.
