Between Sept. 4 and Sept. 24, someone appears to have gained access to DHR’s UPS shipping code and used it to ship items all over the country, Busby said. The total known shipping costs come to $5,154, he said.
Because DHR is a state agency, Busby said he expected the attorney general’s office to want to be involved in the investigation. Since the shipping was done across state lines, he said he would not be surprised if federal authorities got involved also.
As of Thursday afternoon, there were no witnesses or suspects identified in the case, Busby said.
