According to Chief Jason Busby, the robbery occurred at approximately 11:28 a.m. Monday morning. Two white males approached a 66-year-old employee of the post on Welch Ave. Both suspects were carrying handguns and demanded money.
Busby said the two escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, taken from the business and the individual.
The report did not make clear whether the robbers escaped on foot or had a vehicle nearby.
Busby also said that an audit was being conducted to determine exactly how much cash was taken.
Both of the suspects were described as wearing dark colored sweatshirts and blue jeans. Although no specific age range was listed, Busby said they appeared to be relatively young. No further description was available Tuesday afternoon.
