Chief Jason Busby said the burglary appears to have taken place sometime between 9 a.m. Sunday and 9:30 p.m. Monday. The homeowner was out of town, but a relative was checking the house regularly, he said.
When checking the house Monday evening, it was determined that forced entry had been made. However, the only items that appear to have been tampered with were a frozen microwaveable dinner, which had been eaten, as well as half an apple.
The frozen dinner appears to have been thawed and eaten in the residence.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there were no witnesses or suspects identified in the case.
