The school’s Student Government Association presented its annual Fall Fest complete with music, a cookout and door prizes that included CACC T-shirts and a manicure by a CACC student.
“It’s a time for all of us to come together and mix and mingle,” said Glenda Bland, assistant dean of students.
She explained that there was an abbreviated class schedule for the day Wednesday, and everyone had a free period from 11 to 1 to participate.
The event was held in conjunction with Student Appreciation Week, sponsored by the Division of Student Services. “We put this week aside every year to say thank you to our students for choosing Central Alabama Community College,” Bland said.
Refreshments and financial aid information were provided Monday and Tuesday at the Alexander City and Childersburg campuses and the Talladega center, and another Fall Fest is on the schedule for today (Thursday) at the Alexander City campus.
