In the pictures are a few Auburn and Alabama fans from Coosa Valley Elementary School who collected can food items for Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

The St. Clair Children’s Policy Council “Teamed Up” with the students in the Pell City school system to collect food items to help feed families in need during the holidays.

Each participating school was paired with a local food bank.

Coosa Valley Elementary collected 873 cans for Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Eden Elementary collected and delivered 405 cans to Eden Westside Baptist Church. Kennedy Elementary School donated 573 items to Family Outreach Ministries, and Williams Intermediate donated 275 food items to New Hope Baptist Church.

Duran North and Duran South collected 295 for the Christian Love Pantry.

In a separate food drive earlier in the month, the Pell City High School Interact Club donated a total of 800 cans and food items to the Christian Love Pantry.

Iola Roberts Elementary is beginning their annual Christmas food drive for the Christian Love Pantry next week.

The grand total of donations by Pell City school system students and their families was 3221 cans or food items.
