A two vehicle accident at Alabama 21 and the 275 Bypass totaled both vehicles and left both drivers hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Talladega Police Chief Jason Busby, the accident occurred Wednesday morning at about 4:10 a.m.

A 1999 Dodge Dakota was turning off Alabama 21 onto the Bypass and failed to yield, Busby said. The vehicle collided with a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice that was northbound on the Bypass. Both vehicles eventually came to rest on the southbound side of the bypass, Busby said.

The Dodge was driven by Eyvonne McWilliams, 63, of Anniston. She was transported to the emergency room at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Busby said.

The Chevrolet was driven by Rodrecko Curry, 34, of Talladega, who was transported to the emergency room at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.

No information on the condition of either driver was available Wednesday afternoon.
