'Shoes for Christmas' deadline is Friday

Week four of The Daily Home’s Shoes for Christmas effort brings a total of $2,855 for the fund, which provides new shoes for children for Christmas.

Donations will be taken through Friday and may be made at any one of the three Daily Home offices or by calling 256-362-1000 and asking for the Daily Home business office. They may also be made by telephone using a credit card or mailed to the office at P.O Box 977, Talladega, AL., 35161

Donations may be made anonymously, in honor or in memory of someone, or in the name of the person making the donation.

Donations made for the Talladega this week include $25 from Sharon Kent in memory of Sparky Downey; $25, anonymous; $100 from the Trinity United Methodist Women in honor of Mike and Pam Irons; $50 from Joan Ludwig in memory of Aaron Ludwig; $25 from Jo Ann Jarrett in memory of Waite Jarrett and Mark Jarrett; $50 from Russell and Martha Oliver in honor of Carson Olvera and Sue Mathews; $25 from Neal and Linda Rodgers in honor of their grandchildren and great-grandchild; $100, anonymous; $10 from Jane Myrick in memory of Timothy Myrick; $50, anonymous; $100 from Lela Locklin in memory of John Locklin Sr.; $25, anonymous; $100 from the members of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota; and $50 from Billy and Barbara Wilson in honor of their grandchildren.
