The lobby of Coosa Valley Medical Center got a bit brighter Thursday night with the lighting of the 31st annual Tree of Love. Each light on the tree is dedicated in memory or honor of a person or organization, and the names of the honorees are inscribed in a book in the hospital lobby. More than 600 lights have already been dedicated this year with more coming in daily.

A minimum donation of $2.50 is requested for a light, with proceeds going to CVMC Auxiliary, which invests the money back into the hospital through various projects and services.

Pictured, Auxiliary members sing a Christmas carol during the lighting ceremony Thursday. Lights are available throughout the Christmas season by calling 256-401-4026 or 256-401-4070 or contacting any auxiliary member.
