Pell City BOE holds called meeting

The Pell City Board of Education held a short special called meeting early Monday morning to handle personnel matters.

The board unanimously approved to accept the resignation of Jeffrey Darby, a Pell City High School math teacher. The board approved to hire Andrew Robertson as the new math teacher for the high school.

At Monday morning’s board meeting, the board also accepted the retirement request of Susannah Herring, an Eden Elementary School music teacher, effective Jan. 1.

The next regularly scheduled board meeting is at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17.
