Talladega police are looking for individuals involved in the burglary of the lunchroom at Houston Elementary School sometime between Dec. 6 and Dec. 9.

According to Capt. Leon Thomas, someone apparently broke into the kitchen area and cut the locks off two freezers.

Stolen items included two cases of chicken fajita meat valued at $116, a case of roasted turkey valued at $76.54 and a case of ground beef valued at $97.78.

Thomas said it appeared that the cases of meat were put into a 35 gallon trash can valued at $55, which was also reported stolen.

The only damaged property listed in the report were the two locks, which had a total value of $55.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were no witnesses or suspects in the case.

Anyone with information on this incident should contact the Talladega Police Department at 256-362-4508 or call the anonymous tip line at 256-299-0011.
