Three people were arrested on felony drug charges in Sylacauga following a routine traffic stop last week.

Timothy Ray Conn, 37; Misty Dawn Shelnutt, 33, and Jennifer Moore Barrett, 31, were each charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force Commander Jason Murray.

Bond was set at $5,000 in each case by District Judge Jeb Fannin.

Murray said that all three suspects were pulled over in a Dodge Ram truck near the intersection of Third Street and Main Street in Sylacauga. Conn, the driver, had a suspended license, Murray said.

In addition to the drugs, Murray said that syringes and pipes used for smoking methamphetamine were also recovered.

Unlawful possession of a controlled substance is a Class C felony in Alabama, punishable upon conviction by one year and one day to 10 years in prison. Possession of drug paraphernalia is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 12 months in jail.
