The Riverside Toys for Kids program’s last fundraising roadblock is Saturday.

“We have had two successful roadblocks so far, raising a little more than $3,000,” said Tammy Dorough, board member for the Riverside Toys for Kids program.

Dorough said the city has 63 children this year, an increase of almost 15 from last year.

“Our goal for each roadblock is to raise $1,500, but more is always appreciated,” she said. “We have also had individuals donate at city hall.”

The final roadblock is 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the intersection of U.S. 78 and Depot Street.

“Volunteers are welcome to come out and assist with the roadblock,” she said. “It’s a lot of fun and everyone always has a great time.”

For more information call Tammy Dorough at 205-338-7692.
