The Sylacauga Lady Aggies handled the Comer Lady Tigers squarely, 69-13. Sylacauga’s pressure defense was critical to the outcome. More than half of the Lady Aggies’ first quarter baskets were the result of turnovers.

Shakayla Thomas got things going, hitting one of two free throws. Thomas finished the quarter with 12 points, while teammate Kayla Dark finished the quarter with 10 points as Sylacauga had a commanding 26-2 lead by the end of the quarter.

Sylacauga held a 17-0 advantage in the second quarter to push their lead to 43-2 at the half. Thomas had four steals in the quarter with the Lady Aggies converting primarily easy transition layups.
