An anonymous benefactor made a donation to a family whose Christmas presents were stolen in a burglary Thursday. Talladega Police Capt. Leon Thomas said the anonymous donor called one of the city councilmen, who asked the police department to deliver the monetary donation. Thomas, officer Tanna Stephens, Talladega Fire Capt. Ron Goodenough and firefighter Scott Shelton delivered the gift Saturday to Colethia Epps, her boyfriend Justin Scott and children Zykeria, 6, Arianna, 2, and Stephon, 1. Epps said the stolen gifts were already wrapped and under the Christmas tree. “Thank you so much — I love whoever did it (made the donation). God bless them from the bottom of my heart. Now I’m able to have a good Christmas for my kids.” Epps said the donation covers the cost of replacing the stolen Christmas presents.
