The date for the pageant is Saturday, Feb. 1 and the deadline for entries is Monday, Jan. 27, which is also the date for the event’s first rehearsal.
The pageant will be held at Pell City Center along with the final registration and first rehearsal Jan. 27 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
There are six categories for participants, starting with birth to age 2 for Baby Miss Panther, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten for the Wee Miss Panther category, first and second grade for the Tiny Miss Panther category, third and fourth grades for the Petite Miss category, fifth and sixth grades for the Little Miss Panther category and seventh and eighth grades for the Miss Panther category.
There will be a winner crowned and three alternates named in each of the six categories.
In addition to a crown, winners will also receive banners and flowers. Alternates named will also receive flowers.
The winners from each of the categories will be invited to participate in the 201 Pell City Homecoming Parade riding on a float sponsored by the Pell City Panther Spirit Club.
The registration fee for the pageant is $35. To enter the optional Miss Photogenic event, there is an additional $10 entry fee.
There will also be an optional People’s Choice Award made.
This award will be made to the participant who raises the largest amount of money from sponsors. Participants may collect People’s Choice Votes in the amounts of $1. $5, $10 and up.
The overall winner of this award will receive a crown, banner and flowers. Sponsors may include friends, relatives or businesses.
In the Miss Photogenic category of the pageant, there will be one winner named per category who will receive a trophy. To participate, a photo of the contestant and the entry fee of $10 should be turned in at the time of registration.
The name of the participant and the category entered should be listed on the photo. Photos will be returned.
Photographs for this category should be of the contestant only, be at least three inches by four inches in size and no larger than eight inches by 10 inches in size.
Photos may be black and white or in color and school pictures or glamour shots will also be accepted.
Attire for the pageant should be age appropriate such as a “flower girl” dress or pageant dress.
Score sheets will not be given out. Unsportsmanship-like conduct will not be allowed.
Times are subject to change according to the number of participants.
Professional photographs will be available for ordering the day of the pageant.
The event is a fundraiser for the Pell City Panther Spirit Club which is a booster organization that promotes and supports the Pell City Panther Cheerleading program.
Admission to the pageant is $7, and children age 2 and under are admitted at no charge.

The Baby Miss Panther category begins at 10 a.m. and will be followed by the Wee Miss and Tiny Miss categories.
Following an intermission, the Petite Miss Panther, Little Miss Panther and Miss Panther categories begin at 2 p.m.
