PCPD makes 10 felony arrests in December

According to its monthly report, the Pell City Police Department received 2,483 calls during the month of December.

During that month, the Police Department made 10 felony arrests and seven misdemeanor arrests.

According to the report, the department prepared 56 arrest reports, 137 incident/offense reports and 36 traffic accident reports.

The Police Department Patrol Division issued 103 citations during the month of December and issued 34 warnings.

Of the felony cases reported to the Police Department, 19 were theft of property reports, while there were eight burglary reports and six unlawful breaking and entering into vehicle reports.

The animal controll officer picked up seven cats and eight dogs during the month.

Detectives were assigned 96 new cases, which consisted of 40 misdemeanors, 41 felonies and 15 non-criminal incidents.

The PCPD Marine One boat was not in operation during the month of December.

Chaplains and volunteers worked 38 hours during the month.
