Kilgore to run for Sheriff's Office

Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore announces his candidacy in the Republican Primary Election for the Office of Sheriff of Talladega County. Sheriff Kilgore succeeded former Sheriff Jerry Studdard who retired due to health related issues. Prior to being appointed Sheriff, Kilgore served as Studdard’s Chief Deputy for thirteen years. Sheriff Kilgore also serves on the Boards of Directors for the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the Palmer Place Child Advocacy Center. He holds the position of Chairman of the Talladega County Emergency Management Communications District. He was also a 2002 graduate of the Talladega County Leadership Program. Sheriff Kilgore resides in Talladega with his wife, Toni. They have a daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren.
