Altogether, it’s a fundraiser for two of the area’s organizations that literally feed heart and soul for many, Lakeside Hospice and The Christian Love Pantry.
Both are 501 c 3 entities, and provide services for people who need food as well as professional health care.
Last year’s Tablescapes raised more than $12,000, said Christine Smith, public relations director for Lakeside Hospice.
This year’s Tablescapes will be held Saturday, Feb. 22 starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 1 p.m. at The Beacon at First United Methodist Church in Pell City.
Individual tickets, along with table for eight sponsorships are available, Smith said.
Those who want to exercise their creative tendencies can get in on the table sponsorships, and use any and all kinds of décor to express their table concepts.
There will be 40 tables available with eight seats available at each table, making space for a total of 320 guests.
Individual tickets are $25, and to sponsor a table for eight the fee is $200.
Those who want to attend with individual tickets simply need to call Smith or Tracy Whitten at Lakeside Hospice at 205-884-1111 or The Christian Love Pantry at 205-338-2358 for reservations.
The tables and chairs are provided, but table sponsors supply the rest of the necessities such as utensils and table ware, napkins, glass ware and the decorations.
Themes used for table range across the board, with some planned purely for their aesthetic effects and others bearing a message or relating to the local area.
Events for this year include several raffles during the occasion and there will be first and second place awards presented to the two top tables, Smith said.
